Understanding Booking Statuses
Learn about pending, confirmed, and completed bookings
Every booking moves through a lifecycle of statuses. Understanding what each status means helps you manage your schedule and customer expectations.
Pending
A booking that's been submitted but not yet confirmed. This usually means payment is being processed or the booking is awaiting your approval (if you've enabled manual approval).
Tip — Most bookings move from Pending to Confirmed automatically once payment clears.
Confirmed
The booking is locked in. Payment has been received (if required), and the customer has been sent a confirmation email. This slot is blocked in your calendar.
Completed
The appointment happened. Bookings are automatically marked as completed after the scheduled end time. You can also mark them manually.
Cancelled
The booking was cancelled by you or the customer. Cancelled bookings free up the time slot. Refund status depends on your cancellation policy and any manual refund actions.
No-Show
The customer didn't turn up. You can mark a booking as a no-show from the bookings dashboard. This helps you track patterns and decide on deposit policies.
Tip — Seeing too many no-shows? Consider requiring deposits to secure bookings.
